• Not cleaning your gutters can be expensive

Gutter clearing is much more important than many homeowners think. The purpose of gutters is to move rain water away from the house. This is important because if the water isn't moved away, then it can result in serious and expensive damage to your house.

Rain water flowing over windows, doors, and siding can rot fascias as well as door and window frames. It can also erode the soil around your home, significantly damaging your home's foundations, possibly causing a wet basement. So beware - water damage is a slow process and would probably go unnoticed for some time. However, by the time symptoms do appear, the damage is done and repair is expensive.

The best answer? Have your gutters cleared as soon as you notice a problem.
